S. Korean researchers find Raloxifene effective in treating COVID-19

New research shows, Raloxifene, a medication used to treat the brittle bone disease osteoporosis, can be effective in suppressing COVID-19.
Discoveries made by Gyeonggi Business and Science Accelerator and the National Institute of Health showed that Raloxifene can hinder COVID-19 activities at cell level.
Raloxifene was also used to help treat both MERS and SARS based on positive trial results.
The researches will request approval for clinical trials to start in August from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
