As students return to classrooms, schools are allowed to use air conditioning but must open windows twice each hour to ventilate rooms.
Students must also wear face masks when indoors.
The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters laid out these guidelines on Wednesday, the first day of the second phase of school reopening.
Health authorities also said schools should keep air conditioning at a low intensity to minimize direct contact with students.
Students must wear face masks and can only remove them when outside or when doing small group activities where they can keep a two meter distance.
They can also take off their masks if they have a headache or difficulty breathing.
Students are advised to carry extra masks so they have a spare in case of contamination.
