Even when the North Korean leader was calling to upgrade his regime's nuclear capabilities,... the U.S. was monitoring the North from the skies.
According to an aviation tracker,... the U.S. Forces Korea flew three RC-12X Guardrails an airborne collection platform of signals intelligence - on Saturday, the day the regime held its key party meeting.
Reports say it's the first time USFK has flown three spy planes at once over North Korea since reports of Kim Jong-un's poor health emerged last month.
On that same day, a U.S. Navy EP-3E Aries naval reconnaissance plane also flew over the border area.
Experts say the U.S. is intentionally making such flights to show it's keeping a close eye on the regime as Kim reemerges into the public eye.
