S. Korean government rolls out measures to promote local tours

To help the local travel industry recover from the COVID-19 outbreak,...the South Korean government is rolling out measures to increase demand for local tours.
Tourism Minister Park Yang-woo announced the measures following a government meeting on Tuesday.
They include giving out up to one million discount coupons for accommodation and extending the travel promotion period.
That period will now run for one month from June 20th, during which transport costs will be significantly cut.
Discounts of up to 60 percent will be offered at amusement parks nationwide and up to 150-thousand people will be able to purchase tour packages with a 30 percent discount.
