North Korea is also dealing with the aftermath of Typhoon Lingling.
On Sunday, the North's ruling party newspaper Rodong Sinmun released a number of reports on the storm.
It said the strong winds knocked over concrete poles and trees... and ripped off the roofs of buildings.
Recovery and evacuation efforts are being led by the regime's military.
The reports say Pyeongyang has formed a national system to protect its people, property and infrastructure, which include crops, railways and coal mines.
North Korean TV aired special broadcasts throughout Saturday, explaining the trajectory of the typhoon and the damage it had caused.
On Friday, the North's leader Kim Jong-un presided over a central military committee meeting to demand all-out efforts to minimize the destruction.
