S. Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries completes world's largest 23,000 TEU-class vessel

Samsung Heavy Industries has successfully built the world's largest container vessel,... which has now left its shipyard in Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do Province.
The South Korean shipbuilder explained that the vessel, capable of carrying over 23-thousand Twenty-Foot Equivalent Unit, or TEU, containers,... is the first of six units ordered in 2017 by Swiss shipper Mediterranean Shipping Company.
It added the 400-meter-long ship has its own next-generation smart ship system, "S-Vessel,"... which enhances safety and fuel efficiency.
