U.S. Forces Korea reportedly suggested relocating the Combined Forces Command to Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek... south of Seoul.
Citing a government source, Yonhap News reported that the USFK preferred that location to Yongsan compound because of lower housing fees for military personnel and their families.
Lack of communication between the two countries is being cited as one of the main drawbacks to the suggested plan.
Seoul's defense ministry has neither confirmed nor denied the report... pointing out that relocation plan is one of the many options being discussed since last year.
