'인사청탁'은 끝! 은행 지점 배치, 똑똑한 AI가 맡는다

When bank employees in South Korea are relocated, those with connections to the human resources department used to get the best picks.
To make things fairer,... some banks in South Korea are starting to use AI to relocate their workers.
Jang Tae-hyun reports.
Bank clerks have to change branches every few years, and despite their wishes, they can find that their fate depends on the whims of the human resources department.
To try to make the relocation process fairer, banks are turning to artificial intelligence.
KB Kookmin Bank is the first to use AI algorithms to decide relocation.
Shinhan Bank is developing a program to determine various criteria for reassignments.
And IBK and Hana Bank are planning to develop their own systems in the near future.
The algorithm will consider employees' work experience, qualifications, commuting time and any special conditions.
"Basically, a bank worker can stay from two years to five years in one branch. The AI algorithm selects the employees who fit the criteria for relocation."
KB Kookmin Bank was among the first to implement AI technology,... and employees are still adjusting to the system.
"The advantage is that we can rule out the possibility of unfair relocation of those who have power, but on the other side, the AI cannot listen to personal concerns."
Some bankers might have personal issues like an uncomfortable relationship with certain other employees.
A human resources expert says that using artificial intelligence is a trend,... and we don't have to worry about HR teams being replaced by AI.
"The human resources department cannot be substituted by artificial intelligence because there should be actual people managing the AI."
He added that AI can help with fair HR management because it isn't affected by personal feelings or interests.
Artificial intelligence is being used by human resources departments, and its use will only increase in the future. The next step is to solve its flaws so that it can be more effective.
