S. Korea to hold by-elections for two parliamentary seats on Wednesday

Korea will be holding by-elections this Wednesday for two seats in parliament.
Those are the districts of Changwon Seongsan.... and Tongyeong-Goseong, in Gyeongsangnam-do Province.
The latest polls show that the single candidate representing both the ruling Democratic Party and the minor Justice Party is in the lead in Changwon Seongsan ,... while for the Tongyeong-Goseong constituency,... the main opposition Liberty Korea Party candidate is in the lead.
In early voting, turnout in the two districts came to 14-point-7 percent,... the highest for parliamentary by-elections since the early voting system was introduced in 2013.
The by-elections are expected to serve as a barometer of public sentiment in the traditionally conservative province ahead of next year's general elections.
