Toxic smog smothers Korea _ 022119

Good morning, toxic smog has smothered Korea with an ultra fine dust advisory in place for parts of Gyeonggi-do, Jeolla-do and Chungcheong-do Provinces. Be sure to wear anti-pollution dust masks to protect your lungs.

However, remember to ventilate your home or workplace even on a dusty day by opening a window for even just 10 to 15 minutes. Spraying water over the room can also help to reduce indoor dust. Drink extra water, it helps to flush dust particles from your system. Seaweed, broccoli and ginseng are also known as natural detoxifiers.

Temperature-wise, readings are hovering way above the seasonal norms, daily highs will jump twice as high as yesterday here in Seoul, milder than average temperatures and dusty days could carry on through the weekend.

It will get sunnier as the day goes on but the toxic haze should continue blurring the skyline with afternoon highs ranging from 8 to 12 degrees Celsius.

That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
