Good afternoon, this morning's freezing temperatures won't last for long. Readings will be right back up to seasonal norms by the afternoon, and the air quality will be decent. But we could see some toxic smog blow in tonight.

Beware that a sudden drop in the temperature can put you at risk of cold and flu. The risk of cold and flu will be high to very high across much of the country.
The last thing we would want is to have to stay in bed during the 3-day Lunar New Year holiday fighting a virus.

In fact, the weather is looking optimal for the holiday -- no bone-chilling cold or snow. Next Monday is Ipchun, the traditional start of spring, so it's probably safe to say the coldest part of winter has passed.
