High anticipation for the upcoming big summit between leaders Kim Jong-un of North Korea and Donald Trump of the U.S.
Speaking to his secretaries and aides during a weekly meeting,... the South Korean President said the second Kim-Trump summit will be a major turning point in pursuing the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and establishing peace in the region.
He said the high-stakes meeting set for February 27th and 28th in Vietnam will open the door for the divided Koreas to upgrade their ties.
"It will be a major turning point that will lead to more specific and tangible outcomes already agreed on in principle. Those include the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, new relations between North Korea and the U.S. and the establishment a peace regime on the Peninsula."
Welcoming the second summit between the once greatest of foes,... President Moon was confident that their meeting in Hanoi will move the needle closer to denuclearization.
"It's not by chance that we are at the center of a change that was not imaginable one year ago. This is possible because peace is the right path and because our determination led to that path.
The second summit, the President said, will bring the parties a step closer to peace and an end to confrontation.
And to keep up the momentum,... he also promised his government will do its utmost to keep the dialogue going between Seoul, Pyeongyang and Washington.
