Two Koreas to discuss possible aviation cooperation at liaison office
  • 5 years ago
Delegations from the two Koreas are meeting at the joint liaison office north of the border on this Friday... to discuss possible cooperation in the aviation sector.
The unification ministry says the North suggested the meeting, and Seoul accepted it.
They're both sending five-member delegations -- Seoul's delegation led by a senior official from the transport ministry... and the North's,... by the deputy director-general of the regime's aviation administration.
The agenda of the meeting has not been specified.
Instead, the two sides will broadly discuss issues of mutual interest.
Watchers believe the delegations could discuss opening a direct air route between the two Koreas... or renovating old airports in the North.
