Two Koreas to inspect facilities at Kaesong Industrial Complex for proposed liaison office
  • 6 years ago
A team of 14 South Korean officials left for the Kaesong Industrial Complex this morning... to check the proposed site to establish an inter-Korean liaison office.
The two Koreas agreed to set up the office at their high-level talks last Friday... but because the complex has been closed for over two years, a prior inspection needs to be done to renovate the site.
The South Korean team is led by Seoul's Vice Unification Minister Chun Hae-sung and includes officials from the Presidential Office and a few private sector firms.
North Korean officials will also help to check the facilities and equipment.
