South Korea to send team to North Korea to prepare for opening of liaison office

South Korean officials and civilian experts will visit North Korea today,... to prepare for the opening of a liaison office in the North's border city of Kaesong.
According to Seoul's Unification Ministry,... the 14-member team,... lead by Vice Unification Minister Chun Hae-sung will inspect relevant facilities.
Last week,... the two Koreas agreed to open a liaison office in anticipation of increased cross-border exchanges.
The two Koreans operated the joint industrial complex in Kaesong between 2004 and 2016.
During its time in operation, it was largely hailed as a successful example of economic cooperation between the two Koreas.
