Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is set to visit North Korea this week.
According to foreign ministry spokesperson Lu Kan on Monday-- the visit will take place this Wednesday and Thursday,... at the invitation of Wang Yi's North Korean counterpart.
The visit comes just days after the groundbreaking inter-Korean summit last Friday,... and weeks before the U.S.-North Korea summit is expected to take place in late May-- reflecting China's willingness to make efforts towards establishing peace on the Korean Peninsula.
