Over in Japan, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe declared a state of emergency in seven prefectures including Tokyo and Osaka.
The measure allows local authorities to order residents to self-quarantine in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The state of emergency will last through May 6th.
"For Tokyo, the region with most patients, the government is going to prepare a medical facility that can hospitalize 800 patients in critical condition.
And if necessary, we are thinking about deploying medical staff from the Self Defense Forces to this temporary facility.
To reduce the medical burden, the most important thing is not to increase the number of infections.
And to do that, the most important thing is to change your social boundaries."
The PM also unveiled a record stimulus package worth 9-hundred-90 billion U.S. dollars to help protect the economy.
