Unemployment in Wales has risen for the third month in a row, with the figures still sitting above the UK average at 5%. It is the joint highest of any nation or region across the UK alongside the West Midlands, and is now the highest it’s been in Wales for more than 5 years.

A 75 year old man died after being pushed over outside a pub in September last year in a row over Welsh independence, Swansea crown court has heard. CCTV appeared to show 39 year old Hywel Williams push Peter Ormerond, after what the prosecutor called a ‘disagreement’ over Welsh independence and politics generally.

Campaigners opposing a proposed sewage pumping station at a local park have lost their legal challenge against Cardiff council. The judge ruled in favour of the council, but the Llandaff North Residents Association said their fight over the station set to be built in Hadley Park is not over.
