The festival of Diwali lasts for five full days in which each day has a special significance. This festival starts from the day of Dhanteras and ends on the day of Bhai Dooj. On the first day i.e. on the day of Dhanteras, worship of Lord Dhanvantari is celebrated, on the second day on the day of Naraka Chaturdashi, the main Diwali and on the fourth day Govardhan Puja is celebrated. It is mainly considered special for worshiping Lord Krishna and making Govardhan mountain out of cow dung. On this day people not only worship the mountain made of cow dung and the offerings of Annakoot are also offered to Lord Krishna. is fulfilled. दिवाली का पर्व पूरे पांच दिनों तक चलता है जिसमें हर एक दिन का विशेष महत्व होता है। यह उत्सव धनतेरस के दिन से शुरू होकर भाई दूज के दिन समाप्त होता होता है। इसके पहले दिन यानी धनतेरस के दिन भगवान धन्वन्तरि की पूजा, दूसरे दिन नरक चतुर्दशी के दिन यम देव की पूजा, तीसरे दिन मुख्य दिवाली और चौथे दिन गोवर्धन पूजा मनाई जाती है।वैसे तो इसकी हर एक तिथि ख़ास है, लेकिन गोवर्धन पूजा के दिन को मुख्य रूप से भगवान कृष्ण की पूजा और गोबर से गोवर्धन पर्वत बनाने के लिए ख़ास माना जाता है। इस दिन लोग गाय के गोबर से बने पर्वत की पूजा तो करते ही हैं और भगवान् कृष्ण को अन्नकूट का प्रसाद भी चढ़ाया जाता है।मान्यता है कि इस दिन जो भी भक्त श्रद्धा भाव से पूजन करता है उसे सभी पापों से मुक्ति मिलती है और मनोकामनाओं की पूर्ति होती है। वहीं ऐसी मान्यता है कि पूजा के दौरान कुछ गलतियों को करने से बचना चाहिए, जिससे घर की समृद्धि बनी रहे। आइए ज्योतिषाचार्य डॉ आरती दहिया जी से जानें कि गोवर्धन पूजा के दिन आपको किन गलतियों से बचना चाहिए।
