The world's biggest single dish telescope in China is set to open to global scientists starting next year.
The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope or "FAST" officially began operating in January.
Also known as the Eye of Heaven,... FAST captures radio signals emitted by stars and galaxies,.. and, perhaps those from extraterrestrial life.
It has received more attention recently,... after the world's second largest Arecibo telescope in Puerto Rico collapsed this month.
FAST is three times more sensitive than Arecibo was.
