For the first time in the franchise's relatively short history,... the NC Dinos have won the Korean Series.
Beating South Korea's defending baseball champions,... the Doosan Bears on Tuesday evening,... the Dinos won the seven-game series with a game to spare to claim the title.

In the battle between the Dinos and the Bears,... the Dinos came out on top on Tuesday,... winning the 2020 Korean Series after defeating the defending champions,... the Doosan Bears in six games.
Playing in front of a sparse COVID-19-restricted group of fans at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul,... the Dinos broke the scoreless tie in the fifth inning,... before putting up three more runs in the sixth,... to beat the Bears 4-2.
The first Korean Series title in franchise's history came as the Dinos also finished the season in first place,... earning a direct trip to the Korean Series.
After batting .318 with a homerun,... three RBIs and three runs scored,... the former Doosan Bears catcher,... and now NC captain Yang Eui-ji was voted the Korean Series MVP.
Ironically,... Yang was the 2016 MVP for the Bears when they swept the Dinos.
He becomes the first player in KBO history to win two Korean Series MVP awards for two different teams.
The Dinos were founded in 2012 and officially joined the KBO in 2013.
