Russia will reportedly start mass vaccination of its citizens early next year with its very own COVID-19 vaccine 'Sputnik V.'
According to Russian news agency TASS, the vaccine will be available for ordinary people in the country by around next January and February.
That's reportedly when more than five million doses will have been produced.
The vaccine's developer, the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, noted around 50-thousand vulnerable people including medical staff have already been vaccinated with Sputnik V.
While the third stage of trials will be finished by next May at earliest, skepticism lingers as the vaccine was approved before testing was fully complete.
