France-Turkey row spreads into Europe-Muslim tensions over controversial cartoons of Prophet Mohammad

The France-Turkey row has escalated with protests spreading across the Muslim world.
At the center of the tensions is French president Emmanuel Macron who has declared a tougher stance on radical Islam.

Mok-yeon, anti-France sentiment is spreading in a number of Muslim-majority countries.
In Pakistan, Iran, and Bangladesh, protesters took to the streets, burning photos and effigies of French president Emmanuel Macron and chanting slogans.
They are also calling for a boycott of French goods.
"The things we are importing from France right now need to be embargoed. We can't use the products of people who are insulting us."
Sparking their anger was Macron's recent defense of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad which they consider blasphemous.
He also declared war against radical Muslim "separatism" after a teacher was killed by an Islamist for showing the cartoons.
The growing tensions first began with the Turkish president who criticized Macron and other European leaders for supporting an anti-Islam agenda.
