A group of democracy activists in Hong Kong are showing their support for anti-government protesters in Thailand.
The activists gathered at the Thai consulate on Monday saying that they stand with Thailand.
And among them was Joshua Wong - a key figure in leading Hong Kong’s pro-democracy movement.
"Hong Kong people stand with Thailand. Just like how people in Thailand (stood) with Hong Kong in 2019. With the greater crackdown, it will result in greater (resistance), from people and activists all over the world"
This comes after the Thailand government had arrested dozens of protesters, and the police used water cannons for the first time in suppressing rallies.
Hong Kong protesters have also been subject to violent crackdowns by the government.
