"Not gonna waste my time" on a virtual debate and "sit behind a computer."
That's the response from U.S. President Donald Trump during a Fox Business Channel interview while talking about the Commission on Presidential Debates announcement.... on candidates taking part in the Miami session set for October 15, "from separate remote locations... to protect the health and safety of all involved".
The commander in chief's refusal sparked a day of wrangling about how and when any further session would take place.
At the moment, it appears a debate could take place on October 22nd.
Trump's response has reportedly done little to change the Commission on Presidential Debate's belief that any debate next week must be virtual.
