코로나19 어제 75명 신규확진…엿새째 두 자릿수, 지역발생 66명

South Korea's daily Covid-19 numbers managed to stay below one hundred for the sixth day today, but health authorities here are staying on their toes as there still remains concerns over the so-called "silent spread" of the virus across the nation.
They're also working on the details of new social distancing guidelines set to take effect next week.
That announcement, as our Bae Eun-ji reports, will be made later this week.
South Korea reported 75 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.
Of them, 66 were locally transmitted and 9 were from overseas.
It's the sixth day in a row that the numbers have been below 100.
The number of new cases was in the triple digits last Wednesday when the Chuseok holiday began, but it has stayed in the double digits throughout the holiday.
The government will announce later this week the new social distancing measures that will take effect starting next week, as the current "special virus prevention period" runs until this Sunday.
The new measures will be decided based on factors such as the number of newly confirmed cases, untraceable cases, and cluster infections that occurred throughout this week.
The amount of cases where health authorities are unable to trace the source has currently fallen below 20 percent a significant drop from its peak of 28 percent.
However, health authorities are still concerned over a possible "silent spread" of the virus, as many people would have traveled across the nation during the holiday.
"The whole country is at a high risk of infection this week due to a lot of travel and contact among citizens during the Chuseok holiday. The virus might possibly spread nationwide. We ask everyone to follow the social distancing rules and wear masks." Among Tuesday's locally transmitted cases, 51 came from the greater Seoul area.
The total number of confirmed cases now stands at more than 24-thousand.
The death toll remained at 422 as there were no additional deaths.
