Brazil is delaying its world-famous Rio carnival parade for the first time in over a century, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But Rio's League of Samba Schools has indefinitely postponed the February 2021 event, saying the spread of the virus has made it impossible to safely hold the parades.
