The governor of New York State says New York City will allow indoor dining from September 30th,... in a move aimed at boosting the city's recovery from the pandemic.
It will allow for all restaurants to let customers dine inside to a capacity up to 25-percent.
"We've been speaking with stakeholders. We've been working on this issue every day. And we're now announcing today that we can go to 25 percent of indoor dining with certain restrictions that will be enacted on September 30th."
All diners must go through mandatory temperature checks at the door.
At least one member of the party has to provide contact information for contact tracing,... should there be an outbreak at the restaurant.
He added a whistleblowing system will also be established where patrons can anonymously report restaurants that don't comply with the new rules.
