Futurist Thomas Frey tried to answer that question at an online forum hosted by South Korean science university, KAIST.
He said that by 2030, half of all universities worldwide will close and two billion jobs will be gone.

Its impact has been felt across the world, and life will be very different after COVID-19.
Futurist Thomas Frey of the DaVinci Institute participated in a global forum held by Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology to talk about the near future.
Frey predicted large changes in education and the job market.
He said that half of all universities will be permanently closed by 2030.
Also, artificial intelligence will be used as the fastest way to teach students.
"Completing a four-year college degree in one to two months will be entirely possible with this new form of AI learning systems. By creating high speed AI learning systems, we will remove all of our past limitations."
In ten years, the largest company on the Internet will be an education-based company we haven't heard of yet.
And,... there will be the biggest job transition in history.
"This will include new jobs, new businesses and living in new houses and new cities."
People are leaving the inner cities, afraid of contact with others, and are starting to work from home.
In Frey's book, he claims that two billion jobs including drivers and pharmacists will disappear by 2030.
However, it means that there will be new jobs to replace those positions,... and the challenge is to upgrade the workforce to match the labor demand in the future.
