EV sales of the first half year over 10 thousand... closing in upon last year's sale

Sales of electric vehicles have increased dramatically in the first half of this year.
According to the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association, more than 11 thousand electric cars were sold in Korea from January to June 2018.
That's triple the figure for the same period last year.
The Hyundai Ioniq Electric model was the most popular electric car, taking about 38 percent of the sales, followed by the Chevrolet Bolt EV model, which took 26 percent of the sales.
Automobile industry experts predict sales of electric vehicles could reach 20 thousand this year due to growing consumer interest and advanced reservations.
