The top security chiefs of South Korea and the U.S. have discussed ways to advance the peace process on the Peninsula as well as cooperation against COVID-19.
Seoul's top office said Wednesday that National Security Advisor Suh Hoon spoke on the phone with his U.S. counterpart Robert O'Brien.
It was their first conversation since Suh was appointed in July.
They reaffirmed their strong commitment to their alliance,... adding the next few months will be critical for progress on denuclearization and the peace process - vowing continued coordination both issues.
They also agreed to closely cooperate to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
