It looks like government officials may have been aware of some of the problems with the Talana shack housing project in Limpopo, even prior to its launch. That is according to some residents in the area, who say the poor quality of the structures was raised with the Greater Tzaneen Local Municipality. 40 shacks were built at R64,000 each but residents insist the houses are not value for money.
