S. Korea continues to see heavy rainfall for 49 consecutive days

We start with the unusual weather we are continuing to experience in South Korea.
This year's rainy season has now entered its 49th day,... a record for the country.
As of Tuesday morning, a heavy rain warning was issued in Seoul and the surrounding central regions.
Our Choi Won-jong is at the Han River Flood Control Office in Seoul.
Won-jong, yet more rain. It must be especially hectic there.
It certainly is, Semin. Like you mentioned, I am at the Han River Flood Control Office in Seoul where officials have been monitoring major rivers and bridges around the capital.
It's a very different situation compared to yesterday, as we've been seeing much more heavy rain this morning.
According to one of the officials I spoke to, they are monitoring the Imjin River and Pilseung Bridge very closely, adding Paldang Dam to the list for extra caution.
And, of course, in the capital, the low-lying Jamsu Bridge remains closed for the 10th consecutive day, with the water level of the Han River up to 7.1 meters as of a couple of hours ago.
Due to this relentless heavy rain, today is expected to be another difficult day for commuters in the captial, as some major roads like the Dongbu and Olympic expressways are partially blocked off.
