The number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. has surpassed 5 million, 40 percent of which are concentrated in five states.
California is the hardest-hit state, followed by Florida, Texas, New York, and Georgia.
However, New York once the epicenter in the U.S. is seeing some progress, with its percentage of positive tests dropping below one percent last Friday.
That's in sharp contrast to Georgia's almost 19-and-a-half percent on the same day the highest figure recorded in the state since the outbreak.
Despite the continuing spread, a new national poll shows one out of three Americans will not get a COVID-19 vaccine even if it's free.
