Google to keep employees home until summer of 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic

Google is letting its employees work from home for at least another year,... a move that shows the tech industry is bracing for a long pandemic.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote an email to Google employees on Monday saying the company is "extending its global voluntary work from home option through the end of June 2021, for roles that don't need to be in the office."
That means nearly 200-thousand full-time and contract workers will stay on the smart working system.
Google previously planned to reopen some offices for a limited number of employees starting July 6th but later made that optional, due to the worsening COVID-19 situation in the U.S.
