S. Korea becomes top exporter of SSD in Q1, beating out Taiwan: Report

South Korea has captured the top exporter spot of Solid State Drive or SSD overtaking Taiwan,... which had previously been exporting more than a fifth of the world's SSD supply.
According to the International Trade Center on Monday, South Korea exported around two-point-three billion U.S. dollars of SSD in the first quarter, which exceeded Taiwan's figure.
This is the first time in 13 years since the disclosure of SSD export figures that South Korea has ranked top of the pile.
SSD is a type of memory storage device that's widely used in laptops, game console and within data centers.
