South Korea's college entrance exam is a test many students have been preparing for since kindergarten.
That's why it's important for parents and high school students to hear about updates ASAP.
However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak that can be difficult, so one private academy has come up with an imaginative way to provide information to students ahead of the biggest day of their young lives.
Choi Won-jong reports.
You might assume this a drive-in movie theater of sorts, but it's not.
Instead, it's more than 3-thousand parents and high school seniors gathered in a parking lot for a briefing on college admission.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, one of South Korea's biggest cram schools held a 'Drive-In' college entrance briefing.
Sat inside cars parked apart from each other, parents and students receive school brochures that include the cram school's analysis on college admissions.
While looking at the large screen set up in the front, through their car radio, they hear...
"If you look at page 27, the opening day for high school seniors was delayed this year..."
Due to the sheer amount of information that had to be explained, the CEO of the cram school said they had no choice but to hold the briefing offline.
"Timing is important for college admissions. Through this briefing, we can share information we couldn't explain online. We also check a person's body temperature if they get out of their vehicles."
South Korea's college entrance examination was originally scheduled for November 19th, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it will now be held on December 3rd.
