South Korea will enhance quarantine measures against Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Both countries are linked to many of the latest imported cases of COVID-19 in South Korea.
Seoul's health ministry said on Sunday that it will restrict the issuance of visas and non-regular flights, imposing a two-week mandatory self-quarantine on entrants, and testing all of the arrivals.
For those who hold E-9 working visas,...quarantine authorities will make sure they have place to stay during the quarantine period.
The measure takes effect on Tuesday.
Similar preemptive quarantine measures will also be enacted for other countries that see a surge in COVID-19 cases.
