U.S. State Department urges N. Korea to refrain from counter-productive actions

Warning North Korea following its military provocation,... the U.S. is calling on the regime to refrain from further actions that are counter-productive.
The U.S. State Department told Seoul-based Yonhap News Agency on Tuesday that Washington fully supports South Korea's efforts in regards to inter-Korean relations,... explaining it's well aware of the escalation in tensions.
Responding to Yonhap's written inquiry on the latest developments,... a senior U.S. government official also said Washington will remain in close coordination with Seoul.
