Now the latest on the legal battle of Samsung Group's de facto leader and heir... under investigation for crimes allegedly committed in his succession to the company's leadership.
A panel of 15 ordinary citizens appointed by the prosecution... has decided that there needs to be a review of the probe and whether it's necessary and fair by a panel of outside experts.
This outside review system was set up two years ago as a check on the prosecution's powers.
Once the review committee is formed, it'll take about two weeks to do its review... and issue an opinion on whether an indictment for Lee Jae-yong would be valid.
Their opinion is not legally binding, but experts say it will have some influence.
