코로나19 봉쇄령에도 오히려 집콕 한류 즐기는 외국인들

Some countries are easing lockdowns but COVID-19 is still gripping the world, making it hard for many people to leave their homes.
Korean cultural centers are creating online content so those stuck at home can still enjoy Korean culture.
Our Kim Bo-kyoung tells us more.
After Indonesia announced its first case of COVID-19 in early March,... people were asked to practice social distancing and refrain from going outside.
To help people entertain themselves at home,... the Korean Cultural Center in Indonesia uploaded 'Hallyu' or ‘Korean wave' content online.
There are videos on Korean food, Taekwondo, and even Hanbok, Korea's traditional clothing.
Videos on cooking Korean food like extra spicy instant chicken noodles were especially popular.
"The presenter showed us how to cook ramen, "Buldakramyeon" the instant noodle, it was very interesting because that's the first time I saw we can stab the container lid with fork to pour the water. It was very fun actually.
Other videos include a doctor of Korean traditional medicine showing viewers how to stay fit during the pandemic,... and a Taekwondo gold medalist from the 2018 Asian games showing basic Taekwondo moves to practice at home.
"Actually we received a lot of positive responses. They sent us questions on live events and they even asked us to do more series about one theme especially like Korean language."
Although the lockdown is slowly being eased in Kazakhstan, people are still cautious of going outdoors.
For students eager to learn Korean,... the Korean Cultural Center in Kazakhstan decided to take all classes fully online.
"Currently 305 students are enrolled in the 2020 Spring semester online Korean class. There are 15 classes,... and we are using Skype and the King Sejong Institute platform where pre-recorded classes are uploaded."
The pandemic might be preventing people from visiting Korea, but they can still enjoy new Korean content from the safety of their homes.
