The head of UN is reportedly mulling whether to scale down its annual gathering of world leaders in late September due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Reuters,... Antonio Guterres suggested Tuesday to have the heads of state and government deliver pre-recorded messages,... and to allow only one New York-based diplomat from each of the UN member nations to be present in the General Assembly Hall.
The proposal is being discussed among UN members.
This year's General Assembly was supposed to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the UN.
