South Korea confirmed 34 new COVID-19 patients on Sunday, most are linked to the individual who visited five clubs over last weekend.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters said 26 out of the newly confirmed are local, and 8 were imported.
It's the highest daily number since April 9 when the figures reached 39, and it also became the first time daily cases surged back above 30 since April 13.
The newly confirmed patients are scattered across the nation, with the majority living in the capital area.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in South Korea reached 10-thousand-8-hundred-74 with the death toll staying at 2-hundred-56.
