The latest research shows the economic impact of COVID-19 in South Korea will be relatively smaller than that of other countries.
Bloomberg Economics forecast South Korea's economic growth for the year 2020 to be minus Point-1 percent, which is 2-point-4 percentage points lower than its forecast ahead of the pandemic.
In a report released Sunday on 31 major countries worldwide, South Korea is listed to have seen the second lowest decrease next to Hong Kong.
Korea also has the third-highest growth rate after China and Indonesia.
The IMF also forecast the country's growth rate to be the fourth highest amongst G20 nations.
The latest analysis has been attributed to the South Korean government's swift and effective countermeasures against the pandemic.
