According to the Korea Employment Information Service, there was a 24-point 5 percent decrease in March for new job listings on Worknet, a government-run online jobs portal.
Though there have always been fluctuations on a monthly basis, the general trend until COVID-19 had been an increase in listings.
The industry with the biggest drop was food and lodging with a decline of 54-point 1 percent.
