Samsung Electronics performed fairly well in the first quarter,... despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
The tech giant says its operating profit between January and March was some 5-point-2 billion U.S. dollars,... up more than 3-point-4 percent on-year.
Sales were also up more than 5-and-a-half percent to some 45 billion dollars.
Net profit, however, fell some 3 percent.
Samsung's memory chip business contributed to the solid performance,... greater demand for chips helped offset weak earnings in other sectors.
