Samsung Electronics makes a new profit record of more than 15 billion dollars for the 3rd quarter

Samsung Electronics has made a record profit for the third quarter.
On Friday, it announced that it has made more than 15 billion U.S. dollars of business profit, surpassing it's previous quarterly record of around 13 billion dollars, set in the first quarter of this year.
The third-quarter profits are 20-point-4 percent higher than over the same period last year,.. and up by almost 18 percent from the figures for the second quarter of 2018.
The reported profit is seen as an 'earnings surprise' that is well above analysts' expectations.
Samsung's record profits largely came from strong semiconductor sales, but analysts expect a drop in profits for the fourth quarter as the price of semiconductors is expected to fall.
