Ruling DP and gov't to distribute farm products to 3.6 mil. students

South Korea's ruling Democratic Party and the government have agreed to distribute farm products to some 3-point-6 million students.
In a meeting Monday, the ruling party and the education ministry decided to make packages out of agricultural products ordered for school meals and distribute them to elementary, middle and high school students in eight cities and provinces.
Some will be delivered to the students' homes directly or they'll be issued online gift cards to redeem for the goods.
The move is to help farms that saw orders in March and April dry up due to the suspension of classes amid the pandemic.
