It's already been more than a month since the K League, South Korea's professional football league should have kicked off.
And the further delay of the season over the COVID-19 outbreak has disappointed many football fans.
But social media is becoming a new channel for the two sides to connect.
Kim Sung-min visited one team to see how they are communicating with their fans.
Spring has come, the field is ready and the players are raring to go..
But the stands at FC Anyang's stadium are filled with silence.
The starting-whistle still hasn’t blown for the K League this year as the season has been delayed over the COVID-19 outbreak.
“It was sad that I couldn't get to meet our fans...especially as we’ve been preparing for this season since last winter."
However, many K League teams have found a new way to stay connected to their fans.
They are using social media to provide highlight clips of previous matches and create other entertaining content,... and they are getting thousands of views.
As well as match clips, they set fun topics like "foreign players special" or for this one, "players who have fulfilled their military duty versus those who haven't."
In the clips they casually chat, laugh and often make funny comments.
And fans are loving the content.
"Going to the stadium to watch the match is my hobby so I was really depressed that the matches were delayed because of the coronavirus outbreak. I was really thankful that I could see this fun online content from the players."
It's not only the fans who are thrilled about this event.
The players themselves are also excited about making these videos
"It’s been difficult to see our fans because of the delay over the virus, so I feel grateful that I can communicate with them through these videos.”
"Along with their bid to keep a strong bond with the fans, K League football players are also training hard to stay in tip-top shape for when the season finally gets underway."
