KORAIL workers begin indefinite strike from Wednesday

The Korean Railway Workers' Union have gone on an indefinite strike as of 9 AM,... one hour ago.
Their first indefinite strike in three years comes as KORAIL workers and management on Tuesday again failed to reach a compromise on wages and employee numbers.
KORAIL has sent substitute workers to operate high-speed KTX and commuter trains,... but disruptions are still expected.
KTX bullet trains are expected to run at below 70 percent of usual levels,... commuter trains 60 percent and freight trains 30 percent.
During off-peak hours, subways in Seoul are expected to run at about 80 percent of usual levels.
